Yoshimoto

Rino Yoshimoto has emerged as one of the most compelling violinists of her generation, performing internationally as both soloist and chamber musician.

Born in Kobe in 2003, she has appeared at leading venues including Carnegie Hall and the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein. Her orchestral engagements, recitals and chamber music projects have taken her throughout Europe, Asia and the United States, including a critically acclaimed tour of Spain as soloist with the Vienna Chamber Orchestra.

Yoshimoto received Second Prize at the 58th Premio Paganini International Violin Competition in 2025 and at the 10th Fritz Kreisler International Violin Competition in 2022. She is also a prizewinner of the Shanghai Isaac Stern International Violin Competition and winner of the 16th Premio Città di Padova.

She studied with Michael Frischenschlager at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and with Augustin Dumay at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. She later joined the Chapel’s chamber music programme, working with Miguel da Silva, Corina Belcea and Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden.

A laureate of the Gautier Capuçon Foundation, she is represented by Japan Arts and Künstlersekretariat Buchmann. Yoshimoto performs on the 1736 Stradivarius ‘Muntz,’ generously loaned by the Sasakawa Music Foundation.
